Environment Effects Statement update

During the public exhibition period, members of the public can make submissions to Planning Panel Victoria (PPV) regarding the Goschen Project EES until 11:59pm on 17 January 2024.

During public exhibition the EES documents, draft Planning Scheme Amendment (PSA) and Environment Protection Authority (EPA) Development Licence application will be available on this web page, and hard copies will also be available for viewing at the Sir John Gorton Library in Kerang, Gannawarra Shire offices in Kerang, the Swan Hill Regional Library and the Swan Hill Rural City Council offices, and the State Library of Victoria in Melbourne.

More information on how to make a submission will be available once the exhibition period commences.  The public submission process is independently managed by Planning Panels Victoria.

Following public exhibition, the EES and associated documents will be reviewed by an independent EES Inquiry and Advisory Committee (IAC) appointed by the Minister for Planning.  The IAC will hold a Directions Hearing and formal public hearings to hear from the proponent and any submitters who want to be heard.

EES Information Pack

If you prefer a summary of the EES, you can pre-order an EES Information Pack which will be issued on the first day of the public exhibition, either via email or in printed form via Australia Post.  The Information Pack will contain:

• (email) – a downloadable version of the EES and associated documents and the Summary Brochure; or
• (Australia Post) – a printed copy of the Summary Brochure and a USB drive containing the EES and associated documents.

Please note the EES is a large and long document and we encourage the use of electronic versions to minimise environmental impacts.
